Happy Halloween-Week Updates

Happy Halloween! I’ve got big news this week. As I have mentioned before, I have been freelancing with Patch.com for almost a year now. I’m excited to announce that I have recently accepted a contract with Patch–which means I’m officially NOT a freelancer with the organization. I’ll be doing reporting and social media mining for 12 St. Louis-area Patch sites for the north region, AKA “Team Edgell”, led by Patch regional editor Holly Edgell.

I’ve worked with many of the local editors in this group before, and I am genuinely happy to have the opportunity to work with the group more closely.

I’ll officially start in my new position part-time tomorrow, and then after I finish filling in for Sunset Hills-Crestwood Patch editor Alyssa Stahr on November 8, I’ll be jumping in with both feet. In the meantime, I’m working on getting organized and scheduling my assignments. I’ll be working with three different editors each day, Monday through Thursday. Fridays will be a special assignment or wrap up day.

While I’ll be dropping all of my other freelance work, I will still continue in my position as managing editor at Scrubs & Suits, as well as keeping up on my blogs when possible.

Last week, I published several articles, including:

Looking Ahead

I’m filling in for Alyssa at Sunset Hills-Crestwood Patch until November 8, and I’m continuing to work with Scrubs & Suits as always. Scrubs & Suits will have some exciting announcements in the weeks ahead. Tomorrow, I’ll begin my new Patch duties part-time. Back next week for an update!
